Kari Pocock

Building Decarbonization Program Coordinator

Kari has diverse experience in program coordination across local governments and non-profits spanning environmental protection, community engagement and programming, and building decarbonization. She specialized in environmental management and restoration for several years throughout the Metro Vancouver region before narrowing her focus on the role of public engagement in meaningful sustainability policy. Kari advanced her knowledge of climate policy, building science, and equipment efficiency with the City of Vancouver’s Green Buildings Branch before joining ZEIC in 2023.

At ZEIC, Kari primarily supports the Building to Electrification Coalition (B2E) and its growing network dedicated to advancing electrification in buildings across BC, as well as ZEIC’s suite of programs accelerating the reduction of operational and embodied carbon in buildings.

Kari holds a degree in Environmental Geography and a Certificate in Dialogue & Civic Engagement from SFU, and is deeply passionate about equitable decarbonization, collaborative problem-solving, and scalable netw0rk-based climate action.
